Computer hardware

NTI maintains and administrates the local network and systems that include:

 

• Workstations
• Windows Software repository/Print server/Authentication server/Licence manager (Windows 2000 Server SP4, AMD Athlon/1 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 180GB Disk)
• Database server (Windows 2003 Server SP1, AMD Athlon/1.1 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 120 GB Disk)
• UNIX Software repository (Fedora Core 3, Intel Pentium 4/1.8 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 36 GB Disk)
• Web server/Database server/Mail server/DNS (Scientific Linux 4.2, Pentium 4/3.2 GHz, 2GB RAM, 80 GB RAID 1Disk)
• Web server for developers/Database server (RedHat Linux 9, Pentium III/550 MHz, 384 MB RAM, 20 GB Disk).

Experimental equipment

NTI maintains two hydrometeorological monitoring systems, each one  composed of data loggers and some measuring sensors: water level, rainfall, wind velocity and direction, solar radiation, air humidity and temperature.  One of these systems is installed in the experimental basin  of Casais da Almónia (close to the source of the Alenquer creek).

A water quality monitoring system is also available.
